How it all began…

The story of how Shreya & Akash met might change drastically on who you ask!

What they can agree on is…

Shreya & Akash met while performing at an NBA halftime show for the Charlotte Hornets. After the performance, wanting Shreya to stay and hang out longer, Akash tried to convince her to go out with the group. Shreya turned him down - but not without saying she owed him a drink “next time.”

So when they coincidentally happened to meet again the the following weekend, Shreya held up her end of the bargain and asked him out.

Nervous that they would run out of things to talk about, Shreya suggested a board game bar nearby. Little did she know she would lose five straight games of Connect Four and, feeling sorry for her, Akash would offer her a sympathy hug. Over six years later, Shreya & Akash are still best friends, travel buddies, cat parents, true loves, and badass partners in life. They're finally ready to make it official!

And the rest is history

In a testament to their love for traveling and having adventures together, Akash surprised Shreya on her family vacation (with major help from her sister and parents) and proposed in the most magical destination - Cabo de Roca!
